Kitchener, ON: Tonight the Rangers extended their home unbeaten streak to 13 games with a 5-4 win over the Barrie Colts in front of a crowd of 6,095 at The Aud.
The Colts jumped on the board early with a goal from Brian Swanson at 1:45 of the opening frame. The Rangers responded shortly after on a goal by Nathan O'Nabigon, his 14th of the season at 6:16. Less than one minute Petr Kanko put the Rangers on top with his 17th of the year at 6:49. The Colts knotted the game at two on a goal by Ryan Hamilton. Peter Franchin tallied later in the period to put the Rangers up 3-2 through one period.
Kitchener added to their lead on a goal by Craig Voakes at 6:58. A goal by Chad Robinson brought the Colts to within a goal near the mid-point of the second period. The Rangers killed off two late penalties to maintain their lead going into the third period.
Paul McFarland netted what proved to be the game winner at 13:02 to seal the victory for the Rangers. Bryan Little added a goal late for the Colts.

The Rangers next home game is Friday, January 23rd vs the Brampton Battalion. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The Rangers head to Plymouth tonight to face the Whalers.
