Throughout the year, the Kitchener Rangers make in-kind and monetary donations to charitable, educational, community, and non-profit organizations. The Rangers look at this as a special opportunity for our team to support the many organizations working to make positive differences in the lives of those in our community.
All monetary donations are approved by the Ranger Care Foundation while in-kind donations are provided by the Kitchener Rangers. Donations range from funding, to tickets, to souvenirs, to autographed memorabillia. Although it is at the discretion of the Kitchener Rangers to determine what items are donated, when requesting a donation, it is helpful for organizations to specify items they are seeking to best meet the needs of their event.
MAKING A REQUEST
The following request policy has been developed as a way to create consistency and fairness to organizations that seek support. Priority is given to those located in Waterloo Region and specifically make a positive impact on children.
All monetary donation requests must be made in writing at least six weeks prior to the fundraising event. No telephone, facsimile or email requests will be accepted. If there is a publication deadline or a date by which the donation is needed, requests must be submitted in writing at least six weeks before this date.
Written requests must be submitted on organizational letterhead and include:
- Organization's name and full address, contact name and telephone number
- Nature of event or purpose of funds
- How the teams contribution will be used and when required.

In-Kind requests can be made in writting or using the on-line application form that is attached below.
Before sending a request, please note that the Kitchener Rangers DO NOT accept items to be signed, provide items for personal collections/use, contribute to business awards incentive programs or donate to organizations soliciting request on behalf of a third party.
Due the the number of requests we receive, the Kitchener Rangers are only able to donate to an organization only once during the OHL season. The Rangers fiscal calendar runs from June 1st to May 31st.
PROCESSING
The Kitchener Rangers will reply in writing to all soliciation letters. Due to the high volume of requests the team receives, telephone inquiries regarding donation status are discouraged. All donation decisions made by the Kitchener Rangers are final and will be mailed according to the dates of the events and/or dates by which the items are needed.
