The Kitchener Rangers Scholarship Foundation was established in 2000 with the assistance of the Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation ("KWCF").

Annual donations have been made by both the hockey club and its alumnus to ensure that the funds capital continues to grow. The KWCF acts as trustee and investment advisor for the scholarship foundation.

Each year the Kitchener Rangers Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to both Kitchener Rangers Alumni and Waterloo Region High School graduates that are attending post secondary institutions. Scholarships have been awarded for students attending community colleges and universities in Canada and the US.

Each year the Kitchener Rangers Scholarship Foundation has increased the value of scholarships awarded. In 2007 we awarded over $25,000 in scholarships to to 15 Waterloo Region High School Graduates and 3 Kitchener Rangers Alumni attending the following schools:

• Wilfrid Laurier University
• University of Waterloo
• University of Western Ontario
• Conestoga College
• McMaster University
• University of Guelph
• Mount Allison University

Application Process for 2008 Scholarships:

• Applicants are restricted to one award.
• Applicants must be a graduate of a Waterloo Region High School
• Completed applications must be submitted no later than August 10, 2008 for the 2008-09 academic year
• Awards will be announced by September 15, 2008
