![]() Kitchener ON: Erie Otters goaltender Jaroslav Janus faced 61 shots as the Kitchener Rangers defeated the Erie Otters 4-3 in overtime tonight at the Aud before 6,067 fans. The Rangers pressured the Otters throughout the third period but could not beat Janus. Matt Halischuk finally solved the Otters goaltender when he stole the puck and walked in to score the winning goal at 2:18 of overtime. The win was the 14th in 16 games this season and provided Rangers Head Coach Peter DeBoer his 500th victory. The teams traded goals in the first period with Anthony Peluso and Luke Gazdic scoring for the Otters while Nick Spaling with his 17th and Spencer Anderson with his 2nd replied for the Rangers. Erie jumped into a 3-2 lead when Robyn Sertic beat Mavric Parks at the 1:49 mark. Kitchener's Mike Duco tied the game at 3 before the period ended. Josh Unice in relief of Mavric Parks picked up his eighth win of the year. The Rangers finish a grueling schedule of seven games in 12 days when they travel to Brampton on Sunday, November 4th for a 2:00pm start time. Scoring Summary
