Credential Policies and Applications

To apply for a Kitchener Rangers Media/Blogger Credential for admittance to a 2015-16 Kitchener Rangers regular season game at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex, applicants must fill out the appropriate form below no later than 48 hours before the event to allow time for review.

MEDIA ACCREDITATION

Accredited Media* will be allowed access to the Legends Level Media/Scout hospitality room before and after the game. Press box seating will be established on a space-available basis.

A maximum number of appropriately Accredited Media* (determined by the Rangers) will be permitted in the press box for each game.

Accredited Media will also be granted access to the locker room.

There will be no autograph requests or personal photos permitted. Violators will be asked to leave. All credentials are subject to revocation.

BLOGGER ACCREDITATION

Accredited Bloggers will be allowed access to the media hospitality room and press box before and after the game. Press box seating will be established on a space-available basis.

A maximum number of three (3) appropriately Accredited Bloggers will be permitted in the press box for each game.

Accredited Bloggers will be seated in a specifically reserved area.

Accredited Bloggers will NOT be granted access to the locker room.

There will be no autograph requests or personal photos permitted. Violators will be asked to leave. All credentials are subject to revocation.

CHL PHOTOGRAPHY/CAMERA ACCREDITATION

CHL Photography/Camera credentials are required for photographers and camera operators in all CHL arenas.

The CHL Photo Policy is outlined in the below attached application form and a pass shall only be issued when the waiver portion of the form has been submitted.

Please note that all submitted forms are subject to the approval of the Canadian Hockey League.

Passes from the 2014-15 season shall be honored for all 2015 exhibition games. Newly issued 2015-16 passes are valid for all CHL regular season and playoff games.

Application deadline is Wednesday, September 30th, 2015.

CHL MEDIA ACCREDITATION

CHL Media Passes are only issued to media that provide regular daily coverage of a team at home and who travel on the road and are intended strictly for this use.

In an effort to effectively control the number of league passes distributed, greater emphasis will be placed on team issued passes and game day credentials requested by many online-only media outlets.

Please note that all submitted forms are subject to the approval of the Canadian Hockey League.

Passes from the 2014-15 season shall be honored for all 2015 exhibition games. Newly issued 2015-16 passes are valid for all CHL regular season and playoff games.

Application deadline is Wednesday, September 30th, 2015.

Media/Scout Entrance:

All Accredited Media* and Accredited Bloggers will access the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex no more than two (2) hours prior to the start of the game. Admittance will only be permitted through the Media/Scout Entrance located on the Ottawa Street side of the building to the immediate left of the Kitchener Rangers main office door in Parking Lot A.

No passes will be accepted at any other entrance.

If you are picking up a Rangers credential/press box pass, you will do so at this entrance. This policy will be strictly enforced.

We do not have specified Accredited Media or Accredited Blogger parking.

Only persons with a valid NHL/CHL/OHL/Media Accreditation will be granted entry.


Legends Level Media/Scout Room – “Don Cameron Room”

The Don Cameron Room is located on our Legends Level. You can access this level through the stairwell or elevator (floor 3) from door #21.

Only persons with a valid NHL/CHL/OHL/Accredited Media* will be granted access to this level.


Player/Coach Access on Game Day/Night:

Players will be available for Accredited Media* interviews up until 90 minutes before game time. Dressing rooms will be opened no later than ten (10) minutes after the conclusion of the game.

All Accredited Media* members shall have equal access to dressing rooms.

Locker room access is limited to the main entry/corridor of the room. There will be no admittance to shower or medical facilities at any time.


Practice Accessibility:

Both Accredited Media* and Accredited Bloggers shall have access to view all team practice sessions and game day skates. In the event of a team meeting after practice, Accredited Media* and Accredited Bloggers access shall be permitted immediately following the conclusion of the meeting.

Locker room access is limited to the main entry/corridor of the room. There will be no admittance to shower or medical facilities at any time.
