Rangers’ players will take to the ice with specially designed lavender sticks on Friday, February 21, 2014 to raise awareness about cancer in our community and pay tribute to those who are dealing or who have dealt with the disease.
A set of game-used sticks will be available through a silent auction held during the game versus Owen Sound in the Subscribers Lounge. The auction will start at 6:00 p.m. through to 10-min post game. Winners will be notified.
Proceeds will be donated to HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre. Since 1995, people with cancer in Waterloo, Kitchener, Cambridge and the surrounding area have found inspiration, information, and empowerment at HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre. Their programs and services are confidential, free of charge, and open to people at all stages of treatment and their caregivers. For more information on Hope Spring please visit www.hopespring.ca.
