Acquired by the Kitchener Rangers in the 1^st round of the 2010 OHL Priority Selection.

Entering his third season with the Rangers, Marcantuoni is a powerful skater with a hard shot who plays the game at a very high tempo. He enjoys playing a very physical game and taking the puck to the net. His speed and hockey sense gets him noticed on every shift.

In 2011, Marcantuoni captained Team Ontario to a gold medal finish at the U-17 World Hockey Challenge.

In June 2012, Marcantuoni was chosen in the fourth round (92nd overall) of the National Hockey League Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
