Biography
Acquired by the Kitchener Rangers in the 3rd round of the 2011 OHL Priority Selection.
Gilbert is a very reliable, puck-moving defenceman. He has excellent vision and hockey sense that he uses to gain possession of the puck and begin the rush. His strong play helped the Toronto Marlboros capture the 2011 OHL Cup.
Gilbert split the 2011-12 season between the Kitchener Dutchmen and the Kitchener Rangers.
